What Does Your Toddler from 23 to 24 Months Like to Play With?
By the time your child is 23 months old, they will probably be able to sing and form three-word phrases like "dog runs away." They are also capable of understanding opposite concepts, such as high/low or big dog/small dog.
Aside from walking, running and climbing stairs, your baby can now balance on one foot without getting falling, and they entertain themselves by throwing a ball with both hands. They are able to climb up onto a chair, stand on it, turn, and sit down.
As for fine motor skills, your child already scribbles and can imitate vertical, horizontal and circular strokes. Puzzles start to interest them once more, and they can assemble the simplest ones.
Regarding their social development, your baby shows more and more interest in playing with other children. They are now able to interact with them and create their own games, such as passing a ball or chasing each other through the park.
What most parent notice during this stage is the rebellion that your baby will acquire. It is a festival of 'I don't want', 'I don't like it' and 'I'm not going'. As a consequence, some babies may start with terrible tantrums.
Your baby can play with their toys autonomously and more easily. They can make towers, perform a simple puzzle, repeat songs, pick up objects from the ground without falling and unscrew objects.
At this stage, your baby will develop the following skills:

It is important for your little one's learning to start doing certain tasks as soon as possible to make them a habit. Therefore, make it a routine to wash their hands before eating, brush their teeth every day (although still without paste) and pick up toys after playing.
To stimulate your baby's language, it is very beneficial to read stories or sing songs.
